The strange cliffside rock formations around the town have whimsical names such as the Fairy Bridges and the Puffing Hole. Rossnowlagh has a 3 mile sandy beach which is good for surfing. Mountain biking, walking, horse riding, diving, sailing, caving and canoeing locally.
