Well worth a visit is Derrynane House and Gardens, with sub-tropical plants which thrive here in the temperate climate, due to the effects of the Gulf Stream. Stiague Fort also worth a visit and is within easy reach. Kenmare 1&nbsp;hour away, where the Beara peninsula starts, and the Dingle Peninsula is just over an hour to the north for a leisurely day trip. The property is located just off the Ring of Kerry, which makes for accessible touring of the Ring and Killarney, with world famous lakes and National Park area, and is great for walking as the Kerry Way route passes through here.
