Situated on the idyllic Oysterhaven Bay, with private access to a pebble beach, these four charming cottages have been sympathetically converted from former stables and lie in the courtyard of a restored Irish Georgian House which has been built on the site of a former castle dating back to 1645. Adjoining similar holiday cottages, they each have a patio, overlooking a <strong>covered heated exercise pool</strong>, (which is available from mid April to the end of October), and shared use of a large sloping lawn leading down to the ocean front with pebble beach.<br /><br />Offering a relaxing and timeless retreat, guests can avail themselves of a residents&rsquo; &rsquo;honesty&rsquo; bar and familiarise themselves with a gentler pace of life.<br /><br />Riding, three golf courses, fishing and sailing available locally. There are a number of restaurants to sample nearby in Oysterhaven 1 mile, and Nohoval, 3 miles.<br /><br />Bustling Kinsale can be found just 5 miles away, and has a 17th century fortress guarding the harbour. It is one of the most picturesque and historic of Irish towns with its winding streets offering many varied shopping opportunities, along with numerous pubs to sample and many fine restaurants which have earned Kinsale the title of &rsquo;Gourmet Capital of Ireland&rsquo;. <br /><br />Cork city, (the European Capital of Culture 2005), is just 16 miles away. Blarney Castle with the world renowned Blarney Stone, is within easy reach, and hundreds of tourists every year make the pilgrimage to visit it. <br /><br />There are possibilities of many day trips to explore the beautiful West Cork coastline, and experience and savour the wonderful scenery. The Jameson Whiskey Visitor Centre at Midleton is also worth a visit.
