This pretty converted barn is situated between the historical village of Mayo Abbey and the town of Balla. Mayo Abbey has a historical centre which has data going back to Saxon times. The barn is in the owner’s grounds who are only too willing to help holiday makers enjoy their stay. Locally there is fishing, golf, and miles of quiet country roads, while further afield, a trip to Westport, the very scenic Achill, Enniscrone, Ballina, Foxford and the festival city of Galway are all about an hours’ drive. Lough Carra and Lough Mask are within easy reach. Knock airiport 30 minutes drive. Balla boasts pubs with regular traditional music sessions and bar food.
