This spacious, modern cottage is one of a small exclusive development in the little hamlet of Shannagh on the Fanad Peninsula on the north coast of Donegal. With its backdrop of hills and mountains and flanked by Mulroy Bay to the west, Lough Swilly to the east and the rollers of the Atlantic ocean to the north. The peninsula is dotted with loughs and this is a very beautiful, unexplored part of Ireland. <br />This cottage has a vista of open countryside stretching out to the Atlantic. Watersports are becoming increasingly popular in this area due to its numerous sandy beaches, and is fast becoming a Mecca for surfers whatever the weather - there is a surf school at Eelburn and Watersports at Portsalon Pier. <br />Fishing is available in the local loughs, or go wreck fishing off Fanad Head Lighthouse on an organised trip. This area is also great for hillwalking or strolling along the many quiet lanes and byways. There are plenty of golf courses at Portsalon, Rosapenna, Downings and Letterkenny.
